PACFAIE is committed to advancing AI Ethics and responsible AI practices in Africa. We operate through donations, grants, and course sales to sustain our educational programs and advocacy work.
This policy outlines our terms for refunds, returns, and exchanges for both donors and customers who purchase courses or other PACFAIE materials.
All monetary donations to PACFAIE are non-refundable once processed, as they are immediately allocated towards ongoing programs, research, and community initiatives.
In cases of duplicate donations made in error, we may issue a refund if notified within 7 days of the transaction, with proof of payment.
Refund requests for donations should be sent to info@pacfaie.org with transaction details.
Refund Window: If you purchase an online course or digital material from PACFAIE, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided:
You have not accessed more than 20% of the course content.
You have not downloaded substantial portions of the course materials.
Once the refund is approved, your access to the course will be revoked immediately.
Digital products such as downloadable toolkits, templates, or eBooks are non-refundable once downloaded.
For any physical materials (books, event merchandise, etc.):
Refunds and returns are available within 30 days of purchase.
Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition as received.
The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, except in cases where PACFAIE shipped an incorrect or defective product.
We do not accept returns or refunds for:
Gift cards or vouchers.
Downloadable software or digital content already accessed.
Items purchased during clearance or final sale.
Perishable or consumable items.
Refund requests should be emailed to info@pacfaie.org with proof of purchase.
Once your request is reviewed and approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7–14 business days.
For late or missing refunds, first contact your bank or payment provider, as processing times vary.
We replace physical items only if defective or damaged. To request an exchange, contact us at info@pacfaie.org and return the item to [insert physical address].
If the item was purchased as a gift and shipped directly to you, you may receive store credit for the return value.
If the gift was sent to the purchaser and later given to you, refunds will be issued to the original purchaser.
For users purchasing courses or engaging with PACFAIE digital platforms, personal data will never be sold or used to train AI systems without explicit consent.
We provide an opt-out option for any data use beyond core service delivery. Requests can be sent to info@pacfaie.org.
