The Pan-Africa Center for AI Ethics (PACFAIE) helps governments, schools, newsrooms, and companies adopt artificial intelligence responsibly, with accountability, transparency, and human rights at the centre. We are rooted in Africa and work with organisations across the continent and around the world.
PACFAIE is a pan-African, not-for-profit centre working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, ethics, and public policy. We design practical training, publish applied research, and advise on the policies, governance, and safeguards that align local realities with global standards. Rooted in Africa, we now work with governments, institutions, and companies both across the continent and around the world. Our work is serious but human: accessible, not academic, and built for the policymakers, researchers, educators, and institutions shaping the future of AI.

A company limited by guarantee (Ltd/Gte) is Nigeria's legal form for not-for-profit organisations. PACFAIE is the name we operate and publish under; our registered legal name is Pan-Africa Center for Artificial Intelligence Ltd/Gte.
We work with a dynamic network of early-career researchers, translators, designers, and educators across Africa.
